Amy Chandler of Friday55 has been hand embroidering since 2014. Born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Amy is a graduate of NSCAD University in Art History, but is completely self taught in her craft of hand embroidery. She also likes crochet, quilting, hiking, swimming, abundant amounts of coffee, going to shows, and snacks. Lots of snacks.

Amy creates unique hand embroidered goods, including hoop art, patches, wall hangings, handmade zipper pouches, and one-of-a-kind embroidered garments. She has written a mini zine covering the basics of hand embroidery and encourages other crafters to try it out!! She is inspired by the natural world, especially flowers, bugs, weather, and furry creatures. Her use of colour could be described as over-the-top, but not by a fellow maximalist!!
